Residential Cost Explorer CD: Adobe Reader has a search feature which can help you locate items in Residential Cost Explorer (RCE). Press the Search icon or go to Edit-Search. Then type in the word or phrase you're looking for - try the word "cement fiber". Press Search. When the Results window begins to display items, click on one to view it.

Residential Cost Explorer CD:You can copy and paste text from the RCE to your narrative report. Just use the Select Text tool, highlight your text, right-click once, choose copy, then right-click in your narrative and click paste.

Residential Estimator 7:While you’re in the program, press Alt-F3 and an Excel icon will appear on your toolbar. When you have finished creating the estimate, press the Excel icon and it automatically copies the file into Excel. You can now save your RE7 report in Excel or e-mail the report. Note: You must have Microsoft Office installed on your computer.

Residential Estimator 7: To delete an item which was added in error, simply right-click on it once, and choose Delete.
